ACTION ALERT: Obama's back-door land grab |

It has been brought to our attention that the Obama Administration is considering another backdoor deal to lock up millions of acres of land through use of the Antiquities Act and Monument designation. The President can repeat what Clinton did to us with the Missouri River Breaks monument. This latest power grab, targets over 13 million acres, including the taking of private land.
"Many nationally significant landscapes are worthy of inclusion in the NLCS (National Landscape Conservation System)," according to the draft report stamped NOT FOR RELEASE. "The areas listed below may be good candidates for National Monument designation and the Antiquities Act." Attached is a copy of the latest eco~extremist hit list!
Presidential use of the Antiquities Act is highly controversial because the White House, with the stroke of a pen, can lock up thousands of square miles of federal lands used for timber, ranching, mining and energy development without local input or congressional approval.
One does not have to be a willing seller when the government comes to take your land. Monument designations are a backdoor method of bypassing Congress, Alaska Native Indian Land Conservation Act and the Wilderness Act of 1964. This process excludes the public from participation and local governments and the citizens are directly impacted.
We must act and we must act today to send a message to our Montana representatives that the proposal that was leaked from this administration is unacceptable and we expect our elected officials for Montana to stand up against this tyranny.
Everyone needs to contact Governor Schweitzer, Senator Baucus, Senator Tester and Congressman Rehberg and tell them NO!
